Great to see ongoing proof that the Lexus GX platform is as much function as form.

In 2003 and 2004 the Lexus GX470 won the Four Wheeler Magazine "Four Wheeler of the Year" Award. The magazine got death threats from the Jeep crowd who assumed they are always the default winner as judged by a hard-core off-road magazine.

I like that they won but I they are not accurate in the reporting the vehicle is stock. Those tires are not stock! and the stock one likely would have suffered a sidewall puncture/failure. slightly misleading advertising here...

They also got LX vs GX wrong ... but who cares ... other contenders were not running stock tires ... so your point is immaterial.
