Default Lexus Enform / Why ? / Who Cares ...

So my Lexus Enform just expired and Lexus keeps sending emails pleading for renewal. Why should anyone shell out $ for a service that is essentially worthless ????

I like the remote start as well. I felt like Michael Knight when I could start the car with my Apple Watch. Unfortunately, I can't just pay the $80 yearly renewal for that because I have a 2018 GX. They make you buy the safety connect for an additional $80 for 2018 and older models. We used safety connect one time when my wife got a flat, and the service/response was poor. It's not worth the money when you have AAA and a cell phone.

Aside from getting a SAT phone....in the PNW mountains ...Safety Connect works where my traditional cell phone won't. I'm not sure what the transmitter wattage is but it is significantly stronger on my vehicle anyway.

Maybe makes sense for way out-yonder purposes ... but for the majority ? ... when AAA + Cell Phone + Google Maps covers the same bases (with the exception of remote start). On vehicle tracking ... I don't know about anyone else, but if my GX460 gets stolen ... I don't want it back !#!

Lexus should include these services at least for the warranty period, or at least not force multiple fees if only one service is wanted.

Lexus Enform EOL 10.31.2022 for 2010-2018 models

I just do Safety Connect on my '12..... I'm fine with just $6.67/month. I figure it is something good for the wife to have as it will auto-dial out 911 if air bags are deployed in an accident or one-stop for roadside. They will also transfer you through to AAA if you want.

Would rather have the insurance payout. Being pissed off every time I drove a recovered vehicle that has probably been abused (or at least contaminated by a low-life) is not worth any savings over taking the money and rolling it over into a new and unmolested GX.

This time of year, I use the remote-start feature almost every day.

I also like that it notifies when you've left a door unlocked.

Haven't let my kids drive it yet, but it might come in handy if / when they finally wear me down...

This is the EXACT same reason why I leave mine activated for $80/year.

not only is it worthless, failing 3 out of 4 times, and the one success time only comes after you have spent 30 minutes of your time fussing with the app, when you call the client line, they are rude and indifferent.

My greatest regret is buying a Lexus and believing the salesperson that I would have remote start via app. It was a deal breaker for me.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Safety Connect uses the cellular network.

Are you guys using the new Lexus App? Not Lexus Enform. When I got my 2020, they told me to make sure to use the Lexus one, since it's the newer version. This one hasn't failed remote start, lock/unlock feature so far.

Is the one on the very top, when searching from Google Play
