265/70/R17 in stock spare tire location with OEM Class IV hitch
Yes, it does fit! See later posts for pictures of it fitting with the KDSS bar.
I had to loosen and move the OEM hitch as far to the rear as possible and put the tire at 32PSI, not full pressure for it all to fit, but it does!

I have done a search but not come up with an explicit answer for my question:
Does a 265/70/R17 tire (specifically a Falken Wildpeak AT/3 non-LT) fit into the spare tire spot if the OEM Class IV hitch is present?
TRD Pro Rims are on order.
Discount Tire, I will be hitting up one of your America's Tire stores in SoCal soon. You guys did excellent on my old Land Cruiser and the numerous punctures; basically forever earning my business.
thanks all in advance

- Reply Wheel & Tire Sticky #516 to this thread said that it fits "barely" into the spare but there is no hitch.
- Reply Wheel & Tire Sticky #699 shows the "barely" but there is again no hitch and I cannot tell from the pictures where the hitch would be.
- This shows that someone heard that it will fit but no one confirmed and it sounds like second hand info.
- Most other posts are on the R18 tires.
- I do not want to go to a Curt Class III hitch.
TRD Pro Rims are on order.

Not exact help, but I have a 265/70/17 spare up there with room for the KDSS bar. The Bridgestone (or Dunlop can’t remember) is a stock 4Runner spare on a steel rim.
I was a little nervous, but it fits. No rubbing!

Thank you so much for your support, and I wish I could be more helpful regarding the information, this isn't something we would have in our databases, although certainly something I will pass along to the right people as a future consideration.
I want to help figure this out though, PM coming your way

OEM hitch and plastidipped tip. Plastidip not working the best...
Hitch side, shoved it as close as I could whilst cranking up.
Looks like the tire and bar have kissed once or twice, but I do tow and I haven’t heard a squeak.

Bad news, the Falken Wildpeak 265/70/17 does not fit....not even close. It contacts front and back. Tried the wiggle, nope. Tried the angle, nope. Going down a size.
