Lightbulb Radio and Navigation removal

Another video of pulling the head unit out for repair. Appears to be '14+

I'd like to point out that all of the plastic pieces get scratched easily - wrap anything you remove in microfiber towels immediately .

And watch out for the bolts holding the nav and radio. My was removed by previous owner and one of the screw was missing and they crossthreaded another. But with only two it was really tight.

I laid out a small harbor freight blanket over console when I removed mine. I also use one of these magnetic grabber tools for screws/bolts that are easily dropped into the nether regions of the console.

Maybe someone can help me. I was never able to get the bottom unit (with the volume **** controls) to line up with the larger info display after removing it for the LSAILT install. The plastic corner pieces aren’t flush with each other anymore.

It looks like BOB has the same issue in his video.

I’ve tried to reroute my wiring behind the display unit to no avail.

Not sure... my '12 lines up fine but different unit.

Do you think upper unit is too far out/in or vice versa on the stereo?
