Hail Protector
Where I live, Calgary, Alberta, Canada it is called the hailstorm capital of Canada.
Over the past couple of decades we have had major damage to our house twice requiring 2 new roofs, residing and broken skylight. These storms also wrote off one vehince and did $7000 damage to our 4Runner.
Since we also go camping a lot we found a solution to protect our GX
This inflatable Hail Protector I am sure is the solution.
The cover takes less than 10 minutes to install over the GX
Once installed start the fans to inflate. Takes about 10 minutes to fully inflate
The cover will withstand winds of 60 MPH

Funny you posted this. Lived in Colorado for many years. Yes ... many people there have a blow-up mattresses in their trunk and bungee to the roof and front hood when hail passes thru. Hail comes down vertically (the majority of the time) given the weight ... so blow-up mattresses are cheap and easy ... and can be used by family during those holiday visits (minus the hail).

I had one person ask me what it was, told them it was the latest safety feature.
An external airbag the deploys before an accident, we both had a good laugh

Our hail is the same, comes in sideways. This is like putting an inflatable mattress on all sides .... it is expensive but cheaper than the deductible for hail damage.

Know what's crazy? It took years (maybe decades) before dealers finally decided to put up shelters (basically fancy tents) to protect all the cars that are parked outside.

Hail protection Car Cover?
Unfortunately I only have a one car garage and my other is a theft magnet so it stays in the garage. I've seen a few car covers that are advertised as all weather and storm safe. Just wondering if anyone has real world experience with any of these car covers and any feedback. Thanks.

Mine has not been through a major hail storm ... yet ... but it has great reviews and is cheap protection in my mind.

Boulder, CO ... was at work and people were running out to move their cars under trees ... hail-storm coming in fast ... so one dude opened his trunk and inflated a huge air-mattress and bungeed to the top of his car ... yes, hail comes down perfectly vertical ... so his car was saved for the cheap cost of a Costco air mattress ... fast and easy to install (and can be used for camping). My Honda was destroyed given the extremely thin sheet metal ... thousands of micro-dents on the hood, roof and trunk ...
