My 22' GX460 with the Sport Package is on the way but I just realized that the lips at the bottom of the rear bumpers might get in the way of the tow hitch. Has anyone been able to add a hitch while having the sport package?

Have a 21 with Sports package and OEM hitch, it sits under the rear lip.

If you don’t already have a hitch to install, you won’t have to worry about it for a while. Unfortunately there are no hitches to be had at this point.
Happy to join this forum as a proud owner of 2022 GX 460 as an expat in Saudi Arabia. I am looking to get a tow hitch for this to essentially carry a dirt bike to the desert(no heavy duty towing needs). Please can you have a look at the pictures and advice what non OEM tow hitch best fits my needs? Does Curt 13043 fit this model? Provision to bolt underneath - 6 inch apart Two more provisions on either side for bolts Two more provisions on either side for bolts Lower part of the bumper is detachable.
Yes the Curt 13043 hitch will fit your 2022 GX 460. Order from Amazon and it's an easy install. Comes with a filler plate that will keep the hitch from rubbing the lower trim on your bumper. You will need to lower your spare tire a few inches to make room for the hitch and then raise your spare back up into place after the install. There is a UTube video from U-Haul that is very helpful. The video is on an earlier model GX but it is the same Curt hitch that will fit on your 2022.
I have finally learned from a dealer shop that they changed the diameter of the bolt holes in the frame but didn’t bother to let the hitch manufacturer know. No word as to when the hitch will be available. It is curious that Lexus brags about the great tow capacity but has no way to actually tow something and after market will only give you 5000#. There is no mention of a tow package anywhere in the specs or build sheet.
I am waiting to order until they get this fixed. I can’t trade away my current tv until it can be replaced or I will be grounded for the summer. I must admit that I am very disappointed in Lexus. I thought they were better than this.
I posted to Lexus on Twitter and they responded immediately to say they are working on it. We should all post on Twitter. Maybe public shaming will help them move along.
