This thread is showing 2 different price sheets with a difference in model prices between 4-5k. I would think the lower is USD pricing

I believe the first post is only showing the MSRP with no options or delivery fee. The higher price table is the actual builds with options and delivery added.

Placed a deposit on an Overtrail plus today.

Has anyone gotten the call for an allocation yet? My dealership told me they would begin going out this week.

This GX buying process is really frustrating. Most of the TX dealers want a $1k non-refundable deposit. I found one dealer that will refund it but wants a $10K market premium. Another dealer will not sell it without $5k in dealer adds (ppf, tint, ceramic) all of which I would do on my own with better product (xpel vs 3m). Some dealers won't be able to get you one until at least mid year next year. Everyone seems to be a millionaire these days and willing to pay whatever. I think I need to evaluate other options for now and pickup another MY or forgo this all together.

Don't support them. Don't give in to them. There are dealers out there who will be sensible.

I agree in not supporting those dealers. But then you are looking at next year most likely to get this, at least in TX. Most dealers here have a 400+ list if they are in a major metro area.

As an added note. A dealer here in AZ contacted me a few days ago saying they had a premium coming in that was available. It was not what I wanted so I passed. I spoke to another dealer that I've dealt with before. They said they expect that alot of the "reservations " will fall thru and the list will dwindle down..

In TX, most reservations have a $1k non-refundable deposit. So those are less likely to fall off.

They are millionaires so 1k is peanuts to them.
Seriously though, hang in there and the stock of GX will catch up with demand.
when I was looking at LX600 last September, I was told I was lucky to be offered at msrp. The same vehicle sat on the lot for 3 months before it was sold. Now LX are being offered below msrp. At the same time, I was also interested in the RX450H+ and they said they can’t give msrp as they have customers lining up. Now every dealer here has at least 5-10 RX450H+ and some are advertising 2-3k off msrp without asking. The chip shortage is nonexistent right now. Lexus knows the market. I don’t think it’ll be long before dealers are flooded with GX550. So hang in there.
Most of this is hype(from YouTube). The market for GX is not that big. Most people will use it as a family hauler until they realized they’re getting 13mpg. We also have the Landcruiser which will compete with GX. And the TX, which is a better and more efficient as a family hauler.
