We seem to have some unnecessary port installed options in our area (Northeast), but at least the dealers seem to be behaving themselves.

I find it very hard to believe these mark ups.
local dealers here have listed many GX550 and doesn’t seem to be in short stock even though they all show “in transit”.
one dealer has 8 GX550 listed. Another has 10 listed. Smaller dealer listed 3, another smaller dealer listed 3, and 2. And the number keeps growing indicating that this is in fact a mass production vehicle.
When LX600 first came out during Covid, it was totally different story with once in awhile 1 listed and says “sales pending”.
I don’t think it’ll be very hard to get a GX550 or the wait would be long.

I am speaking from experience. I had bought the current gen RX 500h when it was available in fall 2023 at our local Lexus in Bellevue, WA and noticed there was a few items that was sold to us but wasn't in stock such as the obvious one key fob and rubber floor mats. The rubber floor mats was in stock four months after when we picked up the RX on New Years Eve and six months later for our second key fob. Also our friend bought a base RX and same story. They sold her front ppf but wasn't in stock so they deducted the front ppf from final price.

So yes tons of stock of GX but what about the line items that's included in the stick price?! Are they in stock now?! As for me I was shocked when they said that the rubber floor mats are out of stock when I had to pickup the RX.

Markups will be wild. If you have the money and have no time to wait, go for it.

I wonder how many “used” with under 10 miles will show up on Autotrader.

Lots of inventory around here. They might be sale pending but my salewoman told me there’s one coming in Luxury Plus that is not spoken for.

I tried that dealership a bit ago and they wanted +10k plus dealer options. Herb in Sharon had no markups and I'm picking mine up soon.

Okay. Sorry to be misleading. Not sure why they said there’s no mark up to me. Maybe it was on the premium I was taking pics of. I did not press any further since I’m not really in the market for a GX.
Anyways, congrats on the order if the GX. Johnny is a great guy to work with.
