New to Lexus
Hi all
We've been looking at a more refined off-roader for awhile and as you all know, choices are very FEW.
Glad Lexus is entering the field with the GX OT/+ model.
As it's my first time dealing with Lexus I wanted to confirm. I called around dealers around my area and they told me I cannot spec my car. I just need to grab one of the ones dealers get.
Is that true? I was always able to configure to my exact spec with other brands, so this seems odd. I asked someone will need to configure the car, and they said Lexus builds them and just sends them out.
Hope that's not the case..

That’s correct. They build them the way they want and send the different build according to dealers across the regions. The northeast will get cold package and etc.
The only Lexus I know that you can somewhat build your own is the LC500 Bespoke but it’s like pulling teeth and a pretty limited option. This is not the dealer’s fault. It’s just how Lexus operates.
