The dimensions I find online says the width of the new GX550 is 83 inches wide.
That's 5 inches wider than a 2020 Land Cruiser or LX600.
4 Inches wider than my 2024 Tundra.
Whoah!
Whomever has seen one in person does that seem accurate? Doesn't look that big in pics

This is the correct width including the mirrors. When the mirrors fold in I believe it is a bit under 80 inches wide (198cm).

Just over 77" without mirrors, 83" includes the mirrors.

I wonder why Lexus measured this new GX with mirrors open? If I'm not mistaken, every other Lexus width has been measured with mirrors closed.

Yup, they made it as wide as a Ford Raptor.

Interesting that the official Lexus website states width to be 83.22" with mirrors folded in, but other websites and some of their press releases state width to be 77.9",

@Sungkyo soon the new GX will be available at your local dealership. Bring a tape measure and verify the dimensions for the forum.

Part of my test drive is always to home and see if it fits in the garage, garage is on basement level so height is usually an issue.

For me it is width. I have double 8ft doors, but plenty of room once inside. I like how salespeople will say 'just fold in the mirrors and it will fit.' All it would take is to forget once and end up having an expensive repair.
