Default GX 550 at Auto Shows Now

The GX 550 was at the DC Auto show and open for all to sit in it. It should be appearing at all auto shows now:
Here's the schedule: 2024 North American Auto Show Schedule | The Daily Drive | Consumer Guide®

Curiously, I was in the drivers seat and touching the 12v charger when part of the console just fell off. Video here:

Makes me worried about the quality. Still, it was the best looking at the Lexus part of the show and got a lot of attention. Meanwhile people just walked by the Land Cruiser.

We got to see it in Dec at the San Diego Auto show which is not even listed per that link, so I think any auto show where Lexus has a booth will have the GX 550. Ours had the Lux+ trim only. I can confirm that interest was very high in the GX. Also, I would say the interior looks much nicer in person than in the photos and the front seats are super comfy. Unless the test-drive is a complete disaster, there is no chance I'm not buying this car. Design-wise it is truly awesome.

What trim is at the DC auto show? I might have to head up there today and check it out.

if the amount of people sitting in and playing around with these vehicles is any indication to go by, it’s standing up quite nice. Even though this bit is missing, we have no indication as to how it fell off.

not saying that quality could be an issue, but I bet I can rip some bits of trim off my 2023 RX if I tried to see how delicate they were.

Default Auto Show in Houston

Apologize for the quality, very crowded around GX…. Black would not (and isn’t) my pick for color. Felt and looked very strong. Comments from others were cockpit seemed tighter. Dash and controls looked clean and user friendly. Ready to drive mine!

Posting this here as well: Looks like there are some bits and pieces that are not quite aligned:

Unlike the previous trim, this one is hard to believe that someone broke it. I'm hoping it's a 'pre-production' issue that's being corrected. That just seems like a glaring oversight from the legendary Tahara plant.

Default Philadelphia auto show

At the Philly auto show 2 weeks ago in Incognito. Very impressed with the car but I think I may hold off until the hybrid later in the year.

I’ve read you can’t get 3rd row most likely with hybrid?

Not sure about the third row but the Lexus rep at the show said no bench with the hybrid. So with captain's chair, I would assume there would be a third row?

That one got trashed at the Philly show. It went to the Harrisburg show next and the interior was so bad Lexus locked it and took the key. The exterior and that color look great in person.
