I visited one of my "local" dealers this afternoon, took some measurements of the cargo area to make sure both my dog crates would fit, test drove the demo Overtrail, and put my name on the waitlist. Overall I'm impressed with the new GX. It's certainly not as luxurious as the GX I test drove 9 years ago, but it handles, accelerates, and brakes better (even if it doesn't compare to my wife's X5 - it is still a body-on-frame truck after all). Currently the dealer is estimating 9 - 12 months waitlist. It should be a great SUV as a daily driver and for taking on the of the nearby trails.
