Default Lexus Dealerships Willing to Sell Out of State

Hey Friends, I have been trying to purchase a GX550 Premium for two months. I’m on the wait list at the local Lexus dealership as well as one approximately 100 miles away. Nevertheless, I contacted a dealership in the mid-Florida area and my deposit was taken, then one week later I was told they could only sell locally (from the wait list), but if the Premium sat on their lot for “one”day I could be notified. Yeah.
So, I called Lexus of Nashville, (second-closest dealership) and was again told I was out of their “purchase area”. I am shocked/angry?? that someone who is trying to purchase a higher-end vehicle can’t even buy from a dealer out of the area.
Now, some of you cleared up this issue and explained the dealerships make much of their money with service and repair. What a shame.
My question is this, does anyone know of a dealer in the eastern US who sells to out-of-state clients?
thanks!

It is somewhat in the boonies but it is the closest Lexus dealer to me so I get my cars serviced there. They had some on the lot the other day. If their website is accurate, they have 19 on the lot: Closest airport is Tri-Cities.

Default another out of state sale

Interesting. I just bought a GX550 P+ from an out of state Lexus dealer. It's approximately 100 miles away but I plan to make a small vacation out of the process when it's ready to be delivered and will drive my trade in vehicle to pick it up.
I still plan on getting my new GX serviced locally, but I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of up charging and the waiting game. I think it helps that the dealership has locations in both NY and NJ.

Every time I walk into a local dealership there's a customer either buying one on the spot, picking one up, or working with sales. Incredible how much demand exists for the new GX. I hope the vehicle lives up to the hype.

Congratulations and good luck on your new vehicle, hope you get it soon!
