I have the GX550 Overtrail +. I called to get service because I needed my NH inspection sticker, and also, when I back up, the brakes make a horrible squealing noise.
I made my appointment but then someone from Service called me back and said Lexus is aware of the brake squeal issue but they don’t have a fix yet so all they can do is give me my inspection sticker. Is anyone else dealing with this? It’s only when in reverse.

 

Yes, same issue. Only happens in reverse and in the mornings leaving my driveway. the rest of the day they are quiet. I was going to bring it to their attention at next service

 

I would be really interested to know what they had to say. Mine told me to just sit tight until Lexus decides what they’re going to do.

 

Same here. It seems a bulletin is coming to the dealers soon but no timeline yet.

 

Same issues here since May when we bought the car. First they said this is caused by new breaks; I brought it in then and they “greased the brakes” whatever that means. It was fine until I got home and backed out of the drive way. Put on 6000 miles since . . . Noise is so bad that it turns heads on parking lots (not because of the beautiful car but awful noise). Will be back at the dealer next week. This needs to be resolved soon.
