What surprised me a bit is that the Venza has close the the same footprint as the '10-'13 GX. (187 vs 189 length, 73 vs 74 width). Reviewers always talk about how big the GX is, and then complain about the third row, but really the GX is midsized, smaller than the Highlander.

The LC300 has basically the same engines as the Tundra, in this case 3.5LTwin turbo v6s.
I'd look to 4Runner rumors for potential GX news. Especially if the next 4Runner has a variant of the 3.5L tt V6 as an option.

I really want to get in a 22 GX now that the tech has been "updated" per say... but might have buyer's remorse when the 23 (or 24) comes out and makes a huge leap. Anyone else with me?

Reveal of LX600. As expected no split tail gate. I know most folks here are worried about losing the V8 in the GX550 but I am fine with that. But a lift gate?!! That will be a deal breaker. Fingers crossed they keep the barn with the lift window.
Seems like they could use a tail gate to market the thing - just add a ton of utility features to it like they do in some of the pickup trucks.

So, is the current updated interior for this MY GX going to be what the possible GX550 will be with the new engine/tranny?
I can't believe Lexus is going to upgrade the interior for say two model years and then come out with a brand new GX

I love what I see with the LX600 and the new GX550 might have the SAME TTV6 and hopefully the same 10-speed auto. The TTV6 will have a lower tuned to differentiate it with the mighty brother - perhaps 348 hp and 405 ft-lb of torque. 405 ft-lb is equivalence to 550 Nm....so hint hint hint here.

Anyone here have had both pre and post 2020 GX? Thoughts on the quality of the new steering wheel and shifter vs '10-'19 version?

I’m about at a 50% chance gonna buy that steering wheel. I’m half temped to buy a CT 200h F-sport wheel and wire up the wheel controls myself. Sucks the airbag is the same cost as the wheel...

IF that GX has a similar drivetrain system to the RAV4 Prime I just bought (2022) that GX is a day one buy for me.
