From what I saw in all the images so far, there is a version with 3-zone climate...it will probably be reserved for Luxury only? Just my guess at this time... Another couple of curious points. In the brochure it says "10-way heated and ventilated power driver’s seat"...only driver seat will have heat and ventilation feature? Only driver seat is 10-way power? What about passenger seat? 2nd Gen GX had both front seats 10-way and heat/vent...mistake or is it a downgrade? Another point is "power folding mirrors" but no mention of "auto-dimming" feature. In 2021 Lexus removed auto-dimming function from GX's passenger side mirror...now both mirrors are not auto-dimming? Just some questions from someone who owned 2008 GX470 and then 2021 GX460...Lexus is known for chipping away (or making them optional) some creature comforts from GX over the years.
Another observation from the images. Cool box has room for only 4 bottles. In the LX cool box has room for 6 bottles. Given that the width of the new GX550 is 83" vs 78" on the LX I'm curious if the width advantage is completely on the outside and doesn't translate into a roomier (wider) cabin or if this cool box is a calculated design and the cabin will indeed be roomier (wider) than in the 2nd Gen GX.
And more disappointing, NO KDSS unless you get the Overtrail, and it's electronic now. Bummer! Always new surprises with new models as they give and take away !

Yup, they are cutting some corners for sure . Rear wiper placement, and it's ugly, rear hatch opening up is meh, no separate rear zone AC controls, rear AC vents at bottom center instead above doors which is much better. I'm sure we will find many more.
Ill probably take some heat for saying this, but Im not too crazy about the styling of the new GX 550. Ill probably need to see it in person but from what Im seeing, if I ever get tired of my 22 GX460 I would go for the LX.
amazing amazing amazing, my only dislikes are the rear wiper placement as it has gone bad in other models and the mirrors seems to be more vertical than squared, other than that, perfection.
