Rear seat was plenty for me after I adjusted the driver seat. Plenty of head room even at upright position. It's definitely softer and supple cushion compared to the 2nd gen GX. The 2nd gen Gx rear seats is known to be hard for some including me. I'm glad Lexus fixed this issue. This new GX reclines great like the old model but a tad bit more recline if that makes sense.

Noticed 3 zone climate control isn't mentioned in the pre order guide. Pics suggest it may be available in other markets but not the U.S.? From Paultan.org seems to show overhead vents (very faint but similar layout to 2nd Gen). Perhaps for the AU market?

But its not available in the LX so im not sure why the GX would have a more powerful engine available.

also, the hybrid system already compromised the cargo area and utility of the much larger Sequoia.

The TX system is completely different than what is in the Tundra/Sequoia and Tacoma.

From the same site, zoom in on the driver’s side and you can clearly see roof vents next to the grab handles for both second and third row passengers.

The cool box in the 550got me thinking. Plus 100F / 38 C temps here. Today on a little day trip I tried putting in a few freeze packs into the GX460 center cubby and 4 cold beverages. After over 6 hours in the car - with 3 of those hours parked while we were out and about, the one left over beverage was still as cold as when I first took it out of the fridge 6 hours earlier. Prob could have gone another 2 hours. So I think I would pass on the cool box if I ever decide to move from the 460 to the 550. TBO not sure why I didn't think of doing that sooner.

Got a chance to see the 2024 GX in person. There's one in Newport Beach Fashion Island mall. Looks are rugged and looks way better than in pictures. This was the 2 row GX (Overtrail) and love the interior space. Noticed that the fuel door is elongated.

Would love to see more interior pics. Not many good interior pics out there yet. Not a fan of the beige color which is all they seem to be showing.

USA Landcruiser AKA "Landcruiser 250" AKA "Landcruiser Prado" will be revealed AUGUST 1st 2023 by Toyota. Very similar to the GX550:

Mah brah -- filmed in the Mojave Desert... the temp was literally 120f that day and like 5 people died on the week of filming hiking and what-not... everyone is topless from March to Christmas round here safety first!

My wife and I went and saw this GX550 and it is Amazing! This new Earth color is Beyond amazing as well, I thought it was a horrible color in the pictures and YouTube videos but in person it is truly amazing and it’s the color my wife wants now!! I so want to see the GX550 in the Nori green color in person before ordering as it would be my first choice of color. However as of now it looks like we will be going with the new Earth color it truly is gorgeous in person! The earth color is also a metallic color and I originally thought it was a flat paint. There is plenty of room in the second row also, I am 6’2 and after sitting in the driver seat I got out and sat in the 2nd row and there is enough room. Overall this GX550 is a big improvement over the GX470 IMO!!

It's definitely more premium than the 460. I like my 460, but the interior isn't great. The new one looks much better. The higher trims will be amazing I'm sure.

Will be interesting to see the preview of the Land Cruiser later today. If these new versions aren't as huge as I fear, then maybe I roll into the LC rather than the 550 when I finally move on from my 460 if the LC has the 4 cylinder hybrid. The gas milage on the new 550 is deal breaker for me.
