Except, the fact that Toyota bothers to include a rear locker (and in other markets both front and rear in LC300) in trucks with a-trac IS evidence that one doesn't dominate the other and there are use cases where locker is preferred. It will be interesting once this comes out for someone to do some edge case scenarios to show if/when one is strictly better than the other.
New GX seems reasonably priced/equipped but let’s see how the real world mpg works out; I’m intrigued by the hybrid. There will be ADMs on these initially but waiting a few years is the key here. Base Corvette C8s can be had for MSRP now and they’ve been working out the kinks in those cars; same will happen here.
Email from dealer. Of course there will be a few thousand $s in options added 😀
Nice! My dealer/AE told me they would do zero markup or options for me. Benefits of having a relationship and multiple vehicle history with him. Granted... I still have yet to see the buyers order!

The hybrid is the only way to go, IMHO, if nothing but the riddance of the pesky annoying start/stop that's now required on all new vehicles. And it's sure to cure the low end slight lag of the twin turbo, and a very slight bump in fuel economy.
