Anyone worried they will buy a 24 and miss out on the hybrid max coming later? Or do most not want the hybrid anyway?

What I think is a good idea is waiting a year or two before purchasing for reasons:

1. To see if any first year issues come about (doubtful but it could happen!)

2. Any options become standard (eKDSS in base overtrail? in the luxury? Premium?!! Mark Levinson standard in overtrail?)

3. For Land Cruiser (250) and new 4Runner to be out and compare; maybe one of those could be better for some's uses

4. See the hybrid powertrain and how that is

This is what I'm doing anyways. Of course you one MUST have a new GX550 then it all goes out the window

Not one bit, great design, 3 rows, Toyota reliability, and great price. This will be a home run for Lexus.

If anything, this means less pressure on the engine, which I assume means better reliability.

Great insight to the articulation and E-KDSS on the new GX550. Flex amount is amazing.

ouch…. And here is everyone worried about the twin-turbo engine having the same issues as the Tachoma.

this car has a lot of rumours around QC.

at least this is a ECU transmission reprogram, and not a new transmission or clutch replacement. If that were the case, we would have to probably wait another year before they replace all of these.

Eh - don't want to downplay this, but a couple of things bother me about this YT video. First, the claim that this may be the reason 550's haven't been popping out yet - I have always heard March/April so that to me seems to be a false narrative.

Second, the example of the safety issue with the bike rider. Uh, I don't have my vehicle in neutral driving around town. I would have it in drive and my foot on the brake if I saw a cyclist or anything else in my path. Just highlighting that as a somewhat unrealistic example of a safety issue.

Maybe there are larger issues at play. Hopefully we will hear more when they fix the LC's or other vehicles that are already out and in use and can make a more informed decision.

Nice to see they’re not doing any dealer markup. That Overtrail+ is essentially the configuration I’ve requested, except that I’m looking for the Chateau interior.

Glad to see they are starting to shake loose.

Silly question though - why are they sending one with a cold weather package to Longo......? Just seems like an odd match.

Toyota usually packages our region with most of the possible options.
My GR has the cold weather pkg and it’s not necessary.

Previous owners are going to miss the luxury, and complain about it. I bet the first refresh significantly bumps up the interior. I like this but wouldn’t buy one, it’s not nice enough for the price.
