Are you talking about the old brake lights or the new one on the spoiler? How much work was it to take the lense cover off and install the gasket. I would think the gasket would be better for water proofing.

I'm talking about the old brake lights. Silicone caulking is used to cover up the seams in bathtubs stalls and sinks so I would think that its the best stuff for waterproofing something like this, however taking it out would be a hassle though.

Thanks for the welcome and great job with the spoiler. A spoiler would have been my first purchase had mine not come with one. The back of the GX looks a little plain without it IMO.

Your caulk should be fine for keeping water out. With its location and with the spoiler it is protected from most water sources anyway with the exception of a garden hose.

Looks Great! The GX looks somewhat naked without the roof spoiler I bought mine with it on and love it! Congrats on a job well done

Here you go.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAINT...spagenameZWDVW

http://stores.ebay.com/THE-SPOILER-STORE

It doesn't come with the rear brake light cover but just email him and he'll include it for an extra $35 painted.

Good luck with the install.

You may have mentioned this earlier in the post, but this isn't a factory spoiler, is it?
