Stuck rear armrest cupholder
My rear seat cupholder is stuck close. I'm referring to the one in the armrest. I purchase truck about few weeks ago and haven't used the holder. Any suggestions about removing the holder?

Tried pressing it all kinds of way. I believe is jammed or something is broke in the unit itself! I need to know how to remove the armrest or the Cupholder unit.

Are you wanting to remove just the cup holder assembly from inside the leather unit or the whole flip down piece?

I gotcha, you can remove the flip down assembly pretty easily.
Fold the seat that has the cup holder up. From here you can see a plastic end cap that covers the hinge of the arm rest. To remove the end cap you need to look along the edge where the back of the seat panel meets the side of the seat where you will see a zipper that is tucked in. Untuck the zipper fabric giving you access to a zipper that is on the inside edge. Unzip the panels half way down. This gives you access to a phillips head screw that holds the end cap over the hinge. Unscrew that and slide the end cap towards the rear of the truck, the cap has a lip that rides along a rail causing you to need to slide towards the rear in order to prevent damaging the lip. Once you have the end cap off you have access to a #3/4 phillips head screw that holds the hinge mechanism together remove that and you should be able to remove the whole flip down armrest/cup holder assembly.
From there, Im not sure what is causing the cup holder to not open out. If there is something that is broken loose giving it a good shake may free it enough for you to get the cup holders out. At the least having the arm rest removed should provide you better leverage / more options to get the holders out.
To remove the actual cup holder assembly from the armrest requires the cup holders popped out and there are two to three screws at the rear of the cup holders on the underside. So until you get the holders popped out I don't believe there is a way to access them without damaging the rest of the armrest.
Let me know how it goes for you removing the armrest. I didn't actually remove the arm rest just took it as far as i took you above. With it being late, all i had to work by was the interior overhead light and that wasnt enough to dive in further. If you get stuck I can take it apart tomorrow with more light and get back to you.

Thanks for the info. Just removed armrest. Next step would be to unzip reverse zipper (take your time) and remove the two bolts and slide the cupholder housing unit completely out.
