I got my 07 IS250 6MT w/ Lux pkg. for $36,000 OTD. I couldve gotten it for $2000 less if I waited till 2007 (bought it sept. 06) but I needed another car quick. One thing about servco is that they wont budge much from MSRP especially when its next years model. Like someone said, its good if you know someone that works there. I wanted the 6MT sports pkg w/ ML but they didnt have my color. My IS is equipped with everything except ML, GFX side/rear, and NAV (which they have now). Best time to buy is end of year and if you just want the base model IS250, I wouldnt pay more than 32,000 OTD. Dont seem desperate...if they know that the IS is the only car you have your eye on, they wont give you much discount off of MRSP. Oh and try to avoid the light colors like SP. The paint is soft and tends to chip easily, not to mention I have these yellow spots I cant remove.

And yes, please join us at tomorrow's VIP meet at Kakaako park @11am. I want to see a lot of 2IS there!

Forget the salesman's name but he was a haole guy and was Assistant Sales Manager...very cool guy.

Like another poster said, go when they're clearing out the current model years to make way for the incoming inventory which would be NOW. They only had a handful of 06 350's left and we traded in an 04 G35 coupe. They didn't want to budge on the trade-in which was fine, so we haggled the taxes, fees and what we wanted to pay monthly for financing through Hawaii USA credit union. End result was $37,700 OTD.

In my limited experience, dealer's always make money off the trade-in. It's never worth it (financially) to trade-in a car since you can almost always make 2-3k more privately selling it. Kelly Blue Book trade-in values are almost never honored by a dealer since the name of the car game is to make money.

BTW, we traded the cars in because we're lazy and time is more important, not to mention the hassle of not having a car for work or having 2 car payments.

Good luck.
