I'm up for a photog class too. Maybe we can get a CLH group class! I just got my wide-angle tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens too. The only lessons/tutoring I've gotten, believe it or not, is from popphoto.com 's forums. They can be HARSH and very blunt, but that's the best critique. You wouldn't want people just saying..."nice pics".

aww no need to take photography classes. theres all sorts of online info out there.
try luminouslandscape.com or dpreview has some good info as well. not to say actual lessons don't help thou.
it all starts with composition first thou, the type of camera doesn't really matter... well in terms of what makes a good photo.
after that a simple lesson on photoshop on how to make photos snap and you should be good.
