Default Undercoating in Hawaii

Question for those of you who have a Lexus in a warm, salty environment. We have a 2005 RX330 that we store on Maui when we are not on the island. The car is not stored right on the water, but is stored a few miles off the water at several hundred feet elevation.

The question is, should we undercoat this car? Our Lexus dealer rep in California thinks that we should have. He grew up on the Big Island and it is his experience that we will see underside corrosion after a few years.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Sounds like a good idea. My questions are: What would/did you undercoat it with, what does it protect (frame?) how many coats and how long does it last?
