Default Good Bye HS250H

I just wanted everybody to know, we had and accident on the Interstate a few days ago. The vehicle sustained $9,000 USD of damage to the front end. Despite there being no frame damage and the damage limited to the body panels and minor metallic brackets, the Insurance Company has declared our vehicle a total loss. A combination of lack of parts and cost of repairs led top this decision. So, that is the end of the HS250h dream for us. We will miss her, but thankfully nobody was injured, that is the all that matters. Cars can be replaced, loved ones can't. I will leave all of my HS250h repair videos up on my Youtube channel. Of course, my next set of videos will be for a completely different vehicle. My wife says she wants to purchase a preowned NX 300h. I guess she has a soft spot for discontinued models. I want to give everybody a big thanks for the help they gave me and I will be on this forum, albeit on the NX side instead.

Just to let all of you folks know, the final value for our car as determined by the Insurance Company was $15,100 USD. The Adjuster cited the low mileage (114,500), Premium features like the HUD, LKA, forward camera, new tyres, newly refinished wheels and the excellent interior condition giving the vehicle a higher value than most listed HS' on the market. Also, they admitted, our vehicle was so well equipped that they could not find any vehicle similar anywhere in the Continental US. That being said, the lack of parts is why it is being totaled. It sounds like spare for body panels like the hood and front bumper cover have been exhausted here in the US for the most part. Again, we had so much fun owning the car, we visited many amazing places with this vehicle. But sadly all good thing come to an end.

Sorry to hear about the car! Always my fear living outside the city is hitting a deer. I know it’s 1 hit away from a quick total. My car is also a rare optioned car too, LKA, HUD, LED headlights. What’s your YouTube channel? I’d love to give it a look!
