Default Swapped Chrome OEM 18" wheels for ES350 17" non chrome wheels

Had to paint the used wheels. Here is my video showing that process. I'll add a couple before and afters too. Wanted cheaper tires, lower rotational mass, more sidewall (softer ride), and wheels that were in better shape (chrome started to peel).

I'am just curious what OEM wheels are those in the before picture. Because those look real nice I've been looking to change my rims but so far I haven't had any luck. Thanks in advance.

The wheels do look very nice.
They look like older Lexus ES350 wheels to me. I suspect wheels from other Toyota and Lexus models will be perfect fits, such as the ES350, Camry, Avalon.

The HS250h wheel specs are 17 x 7 or 7.5, bolt pattern of 5 x 114.3 (typical Toyota) hub bore of 60.1 (Typical Toyota), offset around 37-41 (Typical Toyota front wheel drive).

The new wheels were off a similar year ES350.

The 18s I took off were original on the car. They were the chrome version the dealer put on the car a few months after taking possession, I'm guessing with the goal of trying to get the car off the lot.

Chrome Wheels, generally, will peel over time no matter how well to take care of them. Chrome does not stick if applied directly over aluminum, hence a layer of nickel is electronically applied top the wheel before the chrome layer. Unfortunately, the nickel does loose its bond over time. I am not sure exactly why, but my guess is that aluminum has a different expansion and contraction rates compared to nickel. Eventually, the nickel will start to flake away, hence the peeling chrome. Steel wheels don't need the nickel layer, thus the chrome is applied directly to the steel's out coating. Unfortunately, steel wheels have their own issues concerning corrosion. Even minor damage to the chrome can lead subsurface corrasion and worse peeling than what is found on aluminum wheels. Personally, I think the OP picked the best option. Find a great looking set of aluminum wheels and paint them yourself. The ES wheels the OP used are so well built that they will probably outlast the car.
