I was just looking at this car on the Lexus website and I like the interior, but when you first see the exterior, it has the stance and overall shape of a Corolla.

Nope Lexus failed with this one, they are betting their sales figures to be solely based on it being a Lexus hybrid and a need for hybrid cars at this time. They put 0 effort into making a stylish, good looking car, it looks boring like most of the other Lexus vehicles and for this it will no longer be on my to do list of cars. It's just such a shame, a simple effort put into the design can make or break a buyers' decision, if I was Lexus, I wouldn't be as proud of it. For all of the designs that are coming out everyday from different manufacturers, a Toyota badge belongs on this HS250, not a Lexus badge, I hope they do better with the next one.

seriously, my biggest complaint about GS is how bad back seating is and trunk, for such huge vehicle... So while i love GS and all, I would never buy one again because of that. Sure, it is because of RWD design, but thats not My problem, i expect engineers to solve such issues... I dont mind car being a bit uglier for it, but i do mind that car such size can not take 4 people, so it really makes no sense to own it, as I have 3 other cars for the city.

i fully expect for HS250h to have better trunk and back seat compared to GS, maybe even considerably better.
If it is truly based on similar platform to Avensis, Avensis has awesome space at the back, excellent trunk, and is great long distance cruiser that handles very well.

My dealer (One of the largest in the Northeast) is already taking orders for fall delivery of the HS250h. When I get detail of how many on order etc. I will post it.

Kind of like the current frumpy RX, narrow, tall, soft, mushy handling, plush and reliable, best selling Lexus too.

I really want to see one in person. I personally wouldn't buy this, but I'm interesed to see how it drives & what the interior is like (it's the tactile things that pix just can't capture).
As a side note, why does the Prius have Nissan looking lobster claw head lights?

The new Maxima, Z, and Pruis all have the "brow" underneath the assembly now. It's like the BMW 7 and others, but flipped. It's the new flavor of the year to be copied and played out until the next thing comes along.

I'm glad Lexus has gotten better at the battery packaging and hence the LS 600h, GS 450h have gotten improved trunks (40% increase in latter case). The HS 250h trunk seems pretty good.
