I have a few friends that I go out with every now and then and we are all car guys- go grab a beer and burger and talk cars. Two of them are die hard BMW fans, one an Audi guy, one an Acura guy, and one is all about Porsche. They're all very open minded and informed so it's usually a lot of fun to go talk cars for an hour or two.
We went out last night and one of the BMW guys turned to me and said, "So how about your HS 250h?", to which I replied, "I don't want to talk about it." The table then went up in laughter with Corolla comparisons.
Sadly, this car really is the laughingstock of Lexus.

Michael, there's the problem, it took one of the two die hard BMW guys to make the comment. Everyone else just jumped on the bandwagon and followed suit. Perhaps if you mentioned the positives rather than give up and throw your hands up in the air, they would have focused on the positives rather than state the negatives. Not everyone is going to like the HS250h, but then again not everyone is in the market for that type of car...especially those geared towards performance.

I think the car is very similarly styled with the current Lexus range.

its very 1IS to me. its not ugly persay, but its not pretty. I can deal with the front, and the side, but the rear looks like an 2IS rear gone bad. i think it has to do with the clear tails. the second problem is the rear spoiler which is wayyyy too thick

For those in the NY and would like to see and drive the HS in person, here's your opportunity:

The IS C will also be available for drives as well.

^^ Yea. I laughed out loud as I pressed the Back button.
It pains me because I know the potential Lexus has to make a good looking car. They didnt even try with this one.
