apperantly, remotetouch is more affordable to build than touchscreen, so who knows? (from edmunds article)... it might depend on how people react to remotetouch... it might also depend on who is vehicle targetted for...

Lexus needs a car like that. They have plenty cars with 200+ horses. They need something that can compete with the small german diesels like 118d and 318d in europe. And they'll need 50 mpg if they really want to compete there.

Personally i know its goinng look like a POS and who cares about this really?

Maybe you haven't looked but those markets you mentioned are in the dumps currently with resale values sadly in the dumps as well.
I totally agree it would be great to see a luxury coupe LS based or so but this car is what Lexus is about and sticking to its core values.
