170-180 horsepower, 40-50 mpg.

Lexus needs a car like that. They have plenty cars with 200+ horses. They need something that can compete with the small german diesels like 118d and 318d in europe. And they'll need 50 mpg if they really want to compete there.

A TOTAL bore of a world premiere if you ask me...and who really cares about some luxury "full" hybrid car. Why doesnt lexus and infiniti for the matter tap into the luxury coupe market like the A7, CLS, 6 series models.

Yes, it won't set enthusiasts hearts on fire. However it will be a hit with consumers and along with RX400h, RX 450h, GS 450h and LS 600hL be the most advanced car currently sold today.

Maybe you haven't looked but those markets you mentioned are in the dumps currently with resale values sadly in the dumps as well.

I totally agree it would be great to see a luxury coupe LS based or so but this car is what Lexus is about and sticking to its core values.
