Who said anything about wheel-base???

flipside909 said it in the post you quoted regarding having the prius and the lexus sharing the same wheel base , in which you then replied saying that you dislike them interchange brands on the same design and build.
So , I ask how can you dislike it if were were not told in the first place? B/c we are talking about the Lexus and it has been stated that it does share the same wheelbase as the prius, but that is all.

I have driven the 2010 Prius and the 2010 HS250h reading this thread through twice here are my views:
1 Neither car has much in common both ride very well and are very quiet.
Total different controls etc...
2 Some of us need a hybrid SUV and then some have no desire to be seen in one.
3 The Prius was $23,000 while a base HS250h will be about $35,000.
4 My friend works at a Toyota dealer told me that the fully loaded Prius has a wait time of 4 to 6 months. Judging by what I heard people say at the local Lexus HS250h event this will be selling fast also.

I won't be able to say more until I review it, but, right offhand, that seems a little high for a sedan that size, hybrid or not. Still, is seems far better-looking than the Prius, inside and out, and lacking some of the Prius's quirks and annoying features. And, to boot, I found the downgrade of the sheet metal and interior material quality in the new 2010 Prius disappointing compared to the 2009 model. The HS250 just may (?) be worth the extra money over the Prius.

The $34,000 figure sounds like pretty aggressive pricing, especially compared to what the Euros would charge for an equivalent model, if one existed. And lower than the MT, etc. forecasts. That said, the actual pricing depends on what packaging allocations they provide.
