Longtime CL member, have had a couple ES's, and now have an RX350 and a new to me 2011 HS250h Premium with 24,000 miles, after trading in my 2012 CT200h F-Sport Special Edition. Got the HS because in middle age we needed a more comfort oriented commuter car and the CT was beating us up to much and the low seats hurting my wife's hip.
2011 HS25h Premium
White exterior and Parchment interior
Navigation and parking assist (which I find to me annoying and want to turn off, but the manual instructions do not work when tried in the car)
24,000 miles
18 inch wheels
Got from a Mitsubishi dealer used car lot. It was a lease vehicle.

Welcome to our exclusive little club pwmcon11! I have over 70K on my 2010, and really haven't had any issues - just an O2 sensor go bad last year. The HS has had a few recalls though, so ensure those were done. I don't recall seeing anyone complain about failures either.

I would say the only things negative i've noticed in my 5 years of owning the car is
1) that the stereo was weak and it was alot of work to amplify the sound (but worth it).
2) when i changed the tires to more plushy michelins to soften the ride a bit, it made a marginal difference feel wise but really hampered the MPG. I get 30mpg hwy and 32 city with these tires. So choose wisely.

I own a 2010 and a 2011 and have had zero problems with either one. I live in Florida, and I think the hybrid feature works best in the warmer climate. I bought the 2011 new for myself and my wife liked it so much she commandeered it, so I bought a used 2010 for myself. Both are premium line models. I have 75,000 miles on the 2010 and about 65 on the 2011. As to weaknesses, at times I wish I had more utility storage (cup holders, etc.), and the trunk could be larger, and I wish it held more fuel - the small gas tank gives me adequate driving distance, but with the hybrid feature, a larger tank would really be great, as I drive a lot. Love my car though, and so does my wife (she got the newer one, of course). I hope you enjoy your car.

Might as well give an update. The car just reached 30k miles and the wife drives it about 50 miles a day. So far no issues other than a rattling door speaker. Just did a 30k service but skipped on the brake fluid change. As for mileage, the car is pretty consistent in the 32-33 mph range of mixed highway and city driving with lots of traffic. The indicated mpg on the computer is a rather optimistic 34-35 mpg which annoyed me at first but it doesn't bother me as much anymore considering that 32-33 mpg is still pretty decent. So far I'm still very satisfied with this car. Good mileage, great luxury and living up to the legendary Toyota reliability.

Hello to my HS!
Hello Fellow Forum-ers!
2011 HS250h - Certified Pre-Owned by DCH Lexus Santa Barbara
Starfire Pearl
Parchment Leather Interior
Base, with a few options.
29k miles
Averaging ~34mpg, driving 100 miles/day (when commuting to work)
I've really been enjoying the ride. Makes the commute much more bearable than the 1996 Ford Ranger I turned in!
I look forward to learning and contributing from this forum!

Been researching/lurking here for a while, normally am active on auto forums, but very busy these last years. But it's high time I join and contribute!
2010 Premium, CPO from dealer 2.5 years ago, about 31k miles.
Nav, front camera, parking assist, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch
Black exterior, ivory interior
Knocking on wood, has been very solid. Only unusual thing was tar-like insulation melting down from HVAC area above passengers left food, fixed under warranty.
Cheers, RJ
