I actually got to sit in the Branew HS at SEMA last week. The HS in Japan obviously gets a lot more cool features we never get here in the USA. I know that Black w/Black Birdseye maple is not an option for the HS in Japan, but Branew made their HS very desireable...

Auto folding mirrors:

Black birds eye maple wood on steering wheel w/black interior:

On top of the plasmacluster ion generator, there is also an air "clean" function including an auto vent fresh/recirc mode:

TV tuner and Mini Disc slot.

Different emergency (Lexus Safety Connect USA) button and interior alarm cancel:

In-Cabin accessible - Emergency flare

Passenger-side memory seating and black birds eye maple trim:

Electronic Toll Collection card slot:

Front seatback cargo nets:

More photos to come.

i think the car looks very nice. i dont see why people keep saying it looks like a 40K corolla. if you really look closely all of us driving Lexus' are driving really expensive Toyota's

Its not a Corolla its like almost a Camry in size..Parked our IS250 next to one..the IS is smaller than the HS..They hid its size quite well...

I like it now that I looked at it again. Not bad. With the styling like this the owner will need all of the help they can get

It really bugs me that Toyota de-contented the USA model so much. When fully loaded, the HS approaches $50K, yet it's still not possible to get a wood steering wheel, there's no smog detector in the A/C, no seat cushion extender, no passenger seat memory, etc. It seems that marketing really wants to ensure the HS is lesser than the ES in the lineup, which is a shame.

Very true. My coworkers used to tease me about my "Lexus Camry". Then, I gave one guy a ride to a meeting one day. He was blown away by the features, comfort, quietness, etc. When we reached our destination, he remarked "Wow, I had thought that Lexus was just an expensive Toyota". Of course, technically this is true, but there's a reason why it's expensive.

great pics! the black wood trim would look excellent with black interior. i particularly like the auto folding mirrors and the ion air cleaning technology.
