Finally had my HS250h's first full tank fill up. 717 miles, 14.115 gallons, 50.8 mpg. MFD read 53.5 mpg, SGII read 54.9 mpg.

That's really good fuel efficiency ... especially for a brand new HS.

Way to go!

Thanks KG. I really had to work for it. I changed my driving style and habits quite a bit. To be honest, you wouldn't believe how much your posts helped me. I learned so much about this car and the warmup stages from you during that first tank............thanks much . I haven't had this much fun driving in, I don't know, forever. Each time I go out I try to push the ave mpg just a bit higher. I still love the game!

Thanks. Now I'm looking forward to the next tank. I still have a lot to learn on how best to drive this car.

Funny you guys should metion this.. just spoke with a customer of ours, he had his 1500 mile or so HS in for an XM install, turns out the loaner HS he was driving had about 10k miles or so on it, he reported that it was getting 3-4mpg better than his new car.

Sure would be great if the mpg's got better with age and break-in, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

this is very mis-leading, is lexus obligated to take the car back due to false advertisement or pay the difference in actual gas mpg vs advertised mpg.
Can you post pics of your HS? You have started recent trends trolling the HS yet you start a thread about the MPG you are not getting.

I now assume you do not own the vehicle and never have.

Edit

You don't own a HS, your DAD owns one.

the hybrid addition to this is kinda pointless when other car with normal gasoline engines already get 30mpg.

it really doesn't matter if I own it or not, and whatever my dad owns is just as good as mine and whatever I own is just as good as his so it doesn't matter who owns what.

I see the car all the time and every time I see it i just can't believe lexus put out such a thing. that's about it.

Well, I drove 300 miles this weekend and this is what I noticed. I'm a horrible hipermiler driver. I usually get 29.5 mpg driving in the city and on highways. This time I decided to use Cruise Control and quickly jumped up to 35 mpg, even while setting cruise control to 80 mph. I am too impatient and constantly accelerate and slow down, not good even for a hybrid.

i was wrong to underestimate the mpg the hs gives out, it's great on mpg.

but it's just the styling that I have a hard time getting over.

Mike, you've made your opinion known on these topics across multiple recent posts and as you've stated, you are coming across as a troll.

I'm going to ask you to be very selective in your posting in the HS forum in the future. You've said your piece and I ask you to move on from it.

If you have genuine questions about operation of the vehicle that's fine. But simply posting to bash the vehicle repetively in a forum of owners ends now or your access to this forum will be removed.
