Turn signal "click"
Has anyone noticed how nearly silent the Turn signal "click" is in the HS? I find myself inadvertantly driving around with my blinker on. I'm too young to be seen like this!
The click is waaaay too quiet...

I agree that the Toyota clickers are very quiet. I guess the idea is to make the noise less annoying and intrusive.

not just that it's quiet, but I find it annoying that it doesn't turn itself off after making a less-than-90 degree turn. I have a left turn on my way to work that's maybe 70 degrees, and the turn signal on three other cars I've driven turns off fine there, but the HS doesn't. Coupled with the silent clicker, I find myself showing up at work with my left turn signal still on way too often :-(
And who looks at the dash? No tach, no temp gauge in the HS, and judging speed by looking outside / by other traffic is a skill most people get after a few years behind the wheel.

I prefer quiet clickers to loud ones... what bugs me is that for the last 20 years Chrysler corporation cars have the a warning chime come on if you drive more than a half-mile with the turn signal on. I have no idea why every manufacturer doesn't offer that feature.

At first I thought that gauge acted like an intake vacuum gauge, but I think it's really more of a throttle position indicator. I watched it a lot at first, but now I kind of ignore it - it's not telling me if I'm rev-matching gears, or redlining the engine. I guess it's useful for hypermiling tho.
