on my car, at the very bottom, part of the circle is not chrome but black.

this car it's a chrome circle around the L in that bubble thing perfect. mine is not like this:



it's nit picky so i haven't gone to the dealer yet for it, but yesterday on the highway i saw a grey hs250h go by and it had the same logo look as mine.

i'm curious if maybe they get water inside or something and that happens onthe bottom. what's yours look like? i'll take an iphone pic of my and get it on here later.

Just checked, and mine looks fine. It's almost a year old, ~13K miles.

It's an issue a few of us have had on the RX450h. My dealer knew about it when I mentioned it at 6 months. The emblem wasn't in stock so they ordered a new one. It took a few days to come in and maybe 15 minutes to replace.

The dealer knew about the problem and didn't even question. I'm scheduled to get it replaced at the time of oil change next week.

I prefer the emblem without the blue/black background. I think it looks cleaner if its just the chrome part.

I have seen a few on the road since I noticed mine that need to be replaced. At my daughters school there is someone with a grey HS with the same issue, I want to track them down.

Hey, interesting find. I think it must not be every hybrid as you have found out. I have had ours since last Dec, and we also have a 400H. Both have the emblem with the classic "<" but in a blue opal background that is rasied. I think it began with the 2008 hybrids and with the HS, we did not even question it. I have not seen any hybrids with the "<" and a black background.

I just noticed that about an inch of the lower part of the chrome of my logo is black. It looks almost as if ink was spilled on it. I never noticed it before, so I wonder if it turned black due to dirt or road salt getting in it? My car was manufactured in Jan 2010 and has 13k miles on it.

that's pretty much what i had until Friday when they replaced it. i had it from new i think

I bought my HS250h in mid-January. It was a demo with about 9,500 km. I noticed the black, ink-like, blotch about two weeks ago. If you've had the emblem replaced, did you get an explanation as to what is causing this?

I previously posted that the rear logo/emblem on my HS had a black blotch at the bottom. The other day I noticed that there now are two blotches on the rear emblem, and one on the front.

I phoned my dealer this morning to report the problem. They are ordering two new emblems.
