Default Pround Owner of a 2010 HS250h since January....

Hello Everyone. Just joined the forum a few days ago. We are the proud owners of a 2010 HS250h Premium as of January 2011. The color is Black Opal Mica with a Black interior.

This car is my "commuter car". My commute consists of driving city streets a whopping 6 miles each way. So, this car is perfect for me. I'm doing fairly well on mileage; averaging about 37.2 MPG (so the computer tells me). Workling to get that number up. But even on city streets drivers have no patience for a "hybrider"; especially during rush hour!

I have not posted a picture of the car yet....but I will. Just wanted to write and say "Hi" to everyone.

....funny you should mention trading. You all are going to think I'm nuts but, I traded a 2001 IS (aka 10 years old) and a 2003 Corvette (aka 7 years old) for my HS . The IS had almost 50K miles on, the 'Vette had almost 30K miles. Was actually glad to get rid of them both. Both were WAY out of warranty. And getting anything fixed on the 'Vette was guaranteed to be expensive. For example, the car had magnetic selective ride (magnetorheological shock absorbers). I thought I had one (left rear) that was failing from a bad seal. That one shock cost about $800.00!!! I about choked. Thank GOD it was just a bad diagnosis on the mechanic's part; the shock was fine! Yep...glad to see them go.....

New owner here as well. I live in orlando, drive 17 suburban/city miles to work. Averaging 42 mpg, and yes I'm driving slowly. I try not to push it into the power zone but usually have to in order to move past a light. Lucky for us our lights are nearly a half mile apart and I can usually stay in dark green till the next light.

Well, if you're nuts, then so am I. As soon as I got my HS, I sold my BMW M3 convertible. I know I'm going to miss top down driving next summer, but I'm having so much fun playing the MPG game, I don't miss it yet.

I must admit that I think the HS250h was probably the most trashed and underrated car of 2010.

The car is simply awesome at almost every level and i am really happy with it; we went to OBX with 4 adults and a car full of luggage, avg 39MPG....just a terrific car all around

I too am a proud owner as of January 2011! We purchased ours on the 4th and have been EXTREMELY happy with the decision! Our gas mileage has averaged 36mpg overall, with some city and some highway.

Just registered with CL today and hope to learn a lot from everyone.
