I'm not sure if I paid a premium for my car but probably was not too much more and the knowledge that I now have five years trouble free years bumper to bumper and that is giving me piece of mind as they are loaded to the hilt and any little thing could run up a big bill very quickly. Still very pleased with the car and mid thirties MPG seems normal at this time. I have a 1998 GS 400 in my garage back home that will be up for sale when I get back although I love that car but a V8 doesn't make much sence these days. I must say cars in California are a lot cheaper than the same car in Washington State. Will post more info on the car maybe six months down the road unless I have a major problem. By the way this is my third Lexus and just love this brand, well done Lexus.

I did purchase a bumper to bumper warranty but extends the cover to five years or 100,000 or whatever comes first and yes it doesn't add to whatever was left on the car warranty but I figured it to be worth not worrying for five years even down to loaner car and road side assist.

My first Lexus is the HS 250 and so far I love it. New retiree and was tired of the lousy gas mileage of other cars. The Lexus is tight and well appointed and whisper quiet, as most of you probably already know. I am getting about38 MPG and loving that. So I look forward to learning more from the forum and receiving the envied looks as I drive my beautiful red Lexus past the gas station lines.
