Check Engine Light

Check Engine Light
Hi. Wondering if anyone has a similar problem, run into this, or knows the problem. I am heading to the dealer to let them figure it out.
I have 2010 with 24500 miles, just got back from the 25000 maintenance and did oil change. Two weeks out from maintenance and I was on the freeway almost half mile from home when the "check engine light" came on. It was a yellow light so I got home. It was not a very hot day but hotter than usual for Seattle weather and had the air conditioning on. First time this year.
I called the dealer, but service was closed and the sales person obviously did not know what he was doing, since he kept covering the mouth piece and asking his colleague the answer. Anyway, I checked the gas cap since he said this was a problem. No such luck. Searching the forum also has lead to several comments about loose of faulty gas caps.
I will let you know.
thanks for anyones thoughts.

Just need to get the codes pulled, a free service provided by places like Autozone, O'reillys, etc... Report back with the code and we can give you some more info... Unfortunately, that light can come on for hundreds, if not thousands of potential reasons...

Car is still in the shop for other reasons, but the light was due to a faulty oxygen sensor. It was covered under warranty. There is also a recall on the emission system that they will fix if you come up with a problem. Otherwise I don't think they are sending out a recall.
