front defroster
I am not sure if its working probably - when I click the button for the front defroster instead of green light, its orange. is that normal?
the fan does come on and it does clear up the windshield. when I view the settings in my navigation under climate - I cant tell the mode, the AC is not lid either. I know most cars when you turn on front defroster the AC automatically comes on....

Check settings, if you have Nav, there are many settings you can access thru the screen, to see if AC is set to Auto. If so, it will come on with defrost.

In your "Vehicle Settings", if you have the NAV, under "Climate Settings", you'll find:
"Efficient Ventilation Mode"
This is the setting you are looking for. It is responsible for turning on the A/C compressor to blow dry air when you select the front defroster. The default setting is "ON". So to answer, most likely when you hit front defrost, it does turn on the compressor, and the light was orange, if I remember.
The other setting is "Auto A/C Mode" which the default was "ON". This is when you hit the green "Auto" button on the dash, it runs your compressor. Other wise, you have to go into your climate page on the NAV screen and manually select to turn on the A/C compressor.
That is the way I set my car up. I don't want it to run the compressor until I turn it on on the hot summer days.
