Effect of speed on mpg
We all know that speed impacts mpg, but today I got to test it out. Spent 5 hours / 250 miles round trip on a field trip driving behind a school activity bus that was limited to 60 mph. Normally I get ~37 mpg indicated, but today, with 2 adult passengers and AC on, I got 43.5.
No, I probably won't change my driving habits as a result, as I like doing 15 over and getting somewhere on time :-)
