Default What happened?

I have Lexus HS250h- 2010. Condenser cracked from a stone beneath. I had it replaced with generic parts using generic but reliable mechanic All of a sudden immediately afterwords the mpg went down from 32 to 27. Also the navigation screen dimmed. I took it back to the mechanic, he said he did not touch anything related to mpg. Please shed some light with your knowledge. Thanks.

What exactly got replaced? I'm assuming you are talking about the AC condenser. Was the compressor part of the repair? This seems like an electrical issue. I'm 99% sure the AC compressor is electric since it runs when the engine is off. Maybe it's now running 100% of the time? Or possibly another part was damaged besides the condenser.

Default How do I find the answer for sure?

You are possibly right. I feel like my Hybrid is never in hybrid mode any longer. It gives me about 50 less miles per a full tank. It seems like electric motor may have quit working.
Thanks for your answer.

He replaced the AC CONDESOR that broke with a pebble hitting while driving the car on highway at 70 miles.

He probably failed to reconnect everything properly. The mechanic needs to reinspect his work, and check for codes. Does this guy regularly work on hybrids? The A/C is different from internal combustion engine vehicles.
