So the wife picked up a new 2023 NX350H. She wanted the accessory hitch or regular, just to mount a step for the dog no towing, but the service departments says Lexus has not released it for the 350H. Has anyone got one or mounted a hitch on the 2023 hybrid?
TIA

I have the Lexus activity mount installed and the kick sensor is still working. The kick sensor works intermittently but that's another problem. I know the activity mount is not for towing. I just want to install a platform bike rack. However, the hitch is 4.5 inch recessed behind the bumper. I can't find any rack that has enough clearance yet.

The dealership told me the same story when I installed a hitch on my 2020 RX350. There are multiple sensors across the back of the car inside the bumper cover, I saw them while installing te hitch. It was never much of a problem on that car.
I would like to know if anyone has looked into alternatives from Lexus. I see Drawtite makes one, also sized for the Rav 4. I want to know if that one is hidden except for the actual hitch receiver? Looks like the Curt hitch for the Rav 4 and NX is exposed bellow the bumper across the rear, which is kind of ugly to me.

If you install a Hitch you need to replace the kick sensor with another smaller sensor that allows for hitch installation. It will be only one side instead of the entire underside of bumper. Lexus dealer should have the part number for that part.
This allows your kick sensor to work with a hitch.

If you didn't go to the 3rd page here to the hitch thread, you can also look at the hitch height comparison thread on rav4world/4.5 exterior, and it's stickied to the top. Again, I can't right click copy to give you the actual link on this website.

That page talks to the Rav4. The mounting location on the frame may be the same but I think our bumper covers are different, which is why I'm looking for a photo of an installation on an NX.

If anyone is thinking of getting the activity mount for bike racks, I'd recommend to look for an alternative. Since the distance of the pin hole to the bumper is 6 inches long, most platform bike racks won't fit.
