hey guys, im in the market for a 4th gen gs450h
its come down to the decision between a 2013 with 60k miles or a 2016 with 18k miles
both are priced well (according to kbb) although the 2016 would almost be double the price of 2013.
besides the facelift of the 2016 and unicorn status, is there anything else that should convince me to spend more on the 2016?

If it's almost double the price I would go with the 2013 for sure. The 2016 has full screen nav map display, and would probably have the radar cruise as standard equipment.

The 2016 will have many features the 2013 doesn't - folding mirrors, electric trunk, full screen NAV, updated front-end, headlights, etc. I think the instrument cluster may be updated too. The low 18k mileage on the 2016 is hard to pass up. All depends on if you like the color combo...and how badly you want it.
if it was me - I'd get the 2016 if I was okay with the color, but the price is not really a factor for me as long as it is fairly priced for what it is.
If you like the bamboo in the 2013, it's the only year that has it.

2013. A 2016 with 40K less mile is not worth twice the price. You can take difference and buy a second vehicle or stocks.

Agreed, pocket the difference. The drivetrain is exactly the same across all 4GS years, many say the suspension on the 2013s seem to be the "best" across the years. Cosmetically, the changes are your preference, but some have stated that the 13-15 front balances the rear well. The refresh tends to look out of place (front ends looks too large compared to the taught/slimmer rear lights and short trunk deck height).

Another thing to keep in mind is the packages they have. if its a fully loaded 2013 and a base 450h 2016. then i would go the 2013.
The features that BClexus has mentioned are all available on the 2013 (except the updated exterior/nav screen), even the radar cruise control!
my 2012 4th gen is a beautiful car and i would say both are good choices if they are equipped properly.
ps. I love the hybrid and the CVT is surprisingly good.
