RX350h with CEL P013A
Greetings all!
Had an issue with my 2023 RX350h this week and figured I'd share some info.
While driving home, the Check Engine Light came on. It was about 35 miles from home and no drivability issue so the car made it safely.
The RX was delivered on 4/27/2023 and currently had 4,650 miles. The Code Scanner showed a P013A* fault. Actually it logged 3 of them.
* P013A = O2 Sensor Slow Response - Rich to Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
The next day ( Saturday ) I was at the Lexus dealer at 8AM. The car was constantly displaying an error message that said "The Check Engine
light is on. Please visit your Dealer".
Anyway the Dealer was kind enough to work the car in to check the problem and said it needed a new O2 sensor. They had to order the O2 sensor
and supplied a 2023 RX350 loaner with just 174 miles on the clock. Was able to compare a Turbo to my Hybrid, but that's another story.
While at the Dealership, they did the 5k service and replaced the O2 sensor. Picked it up on Tuesday and dropped off the loaner with 429 miles. That
thing did consume some Premium fuel! Makes me very happy with my 87 octane sipping, 36 MPG RX350h.
Made it back home ( 38 miles ) with no issues or CEL's. Hopefully this is a fluke problem and not something like a O2 supplier problem that will
affect others. I'll update if the CEL comes back or as trouble free miles accrue.

Yikes, really hoping this was a fluke. We have 2,200 miles on ours and one of the big reasons I picked the 350h over the 500 was the proven drivetrain thats been around since 2018.

I'm hoping it was just a fluke, too. So far it's gone another 300 miles with no issues. I'm sure there are many other RX350h's out there that have gone more than 5,000 miles so far and no word from anyone else.

If they replaced the O2 sensor and it came back, check exhaust gaskets as the gaskets may have leak, This is what they should look at next, sometimes the gaskets don't seed correctly to exhaust which causes the leak.
Would assume they would know this but in case not it worth mention to your S/A

Yikes, sorry to hear the issue popped up again. Do keep us posted with what the dealer finds as I am sure it may help someone down the line. From other threads, seems like at least a few 350 and 500h are having mechanical issues as well. The 350h was supposed to be the safe choice since the drivetrain is 5 years old but I guess nothing is perfect.

Update:
The repair was finished on Tuesday, 8/15. I wasn't able to pick up the RX until today, 8/19. They replaced the catalytic converter and both gaskets as instructed by Lexus Corporate. Fault is presently cleared. I will have another 700 miles on it by next Sunday and will update as necessary. Here's hoping that it's all better. Next P013a CEL will be #3 for Lemon Law purposes.

Good news so far. Over 1,000 miles logged on new exhaust manifold/catalytic converter assy and no CEL. No rattles or other noises. The gas mileage is holding steady at 35.1 MPG. Hopefully all is fixed.
