NX350h vs NX450h battery comparison
Hello guys, just out of curiosity, if the NX350h consists of (70) 3.7V battery cells and NX450h has (96) 3.7V battery cells, why NX350h 259 Volts, only has only 1.6kWh and NX450h 355.2 Volts, has 18.1kWh?
Does that mean that when it comes to battery replacement, the cost (excluding labor) to replace NX350h battery is only 1/11 the cost of NX450h battery?

Energy (Wh) = Voltage (V) * Charge (Ah)
Each battery in the 350h will have much less charge (Ah) per cell.
350h -> 1.600 kWh / 259V = 6.4 Ah / 70 cells = 91mAh/cell
450h -> 18.1kWh / 355.2V = 51 Ah / 96 cells = 531mAh/cell

Also to answer your question about cost to replace.
The only thing that is substantially cheaper would be the battery cells. There are fewer of them (70 vs 90), and each of them should be cheaper because of their lower charge capacity.
But that is only one part of the cost. There are other things to manufacture other than batteries such as controllers, cables, housing, etc. Then the assembly of the battery pack to put it all together.
Then there is labour to consider for the installation. I think the 350h installation is a little easier, and therefore a little cheaper, because the battery pack is located under the backseat whereas in the 450h+ the battery pack is located within the floor.
I would guess the 350h is about 75% of the cost of the 450h+ but that is a complete guess.
