Source for Purge valve / VSV (vacuum switching valve) solenoid?
My neighbor's son now works as a tech for Toyota and he was able to diagnose my evap system engine codes on Saturday. In addition to a cracked vacuum line at the back of the engine, he also found that I need a VSV solenoid / purge valve. Is there a good aftermarket unit available?

Your request is a bit vague. Which VSV part number? In general, I get the part number and buy OEM from one of the online discount locations. Hard to find aftermarket parts the same quality as Toyota/Lexus.

Hmmm, thought there was only one on the car,....just quoting my neighbors son who is a Toyota Tech.

I'm not positive on the number of VSV's on the RX. My other Toyota's have several VSV, each with different part numbers.
Sounds like he's a great resource. See if you can get the Toyota part number from him. You can put that number in the website below and check the price/availability.
