Is it worth buying the lower version of the 350H?

But we don't get to choose the options. Dealers get their allocation and the cars are built by Lexus and Lexus decides which cars receive which options. They are factory installed and the buyer doesn't get to choose them. The buyer pays for them--they are not 'add ons.'

By add ons, I mean dealer's forced packages since as tint, paint protection packages, dent repair packages, window etching........

I bought the base(?) because that's what came up first that matched our color demands. The smaller screen has less wasted space on the menu columns, and a more square map, otherwise the screen functions about the same. I didn't want subscription based nav, except Sirius, so that was fine also. Standard sunroof and cold package. Now I know that heated seats are a must have next time. I forget what else, but about 6 options. $45k? Really, the choice would've been between this or a 450, a lexus comes with enough features for me anyways. I do get a kick outta people asking if 18"s are big enough; you could get the Rav4 LP Adventures with 17"s and off road tires and lift kit that fills the wheel wells. I see The NX has a trim now of "Overtrail"?

Premium vs. Base - availability
Purchased a Lexus NX-350h "Premium" last month, as 99% of the available cars at the NY Metro area (including Northern New Jersey and Southern CT) dealers were for the "Premium" package (out of several hundred viewed on-line, a handful were "Platinum", and even fewer "Base" models.) Didn't want some of the "Premium" installed options ($1,100 head's-up display; $1,205 14-inch touch screen) but they all seemed to come equipped that way.
