I concur with WellsB. The RX450h+ is the quietest car that I have ever owned. My wife's NX450h+, OTOH, is a lot noisier on the road, which I attribute to less insulation/sound deadening material and the run flats, of which I am not a fan. Assuming that I will keep both cars long term, I too will be looking for Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires at replacement time. I have first hand experience with them and they're great.

So it seems I missed the obvious place to start, my sales rep wondered if the tire pressure was correct (never crossed my mind as that should have been checked as part of sale prep). Yup 3 tires were at 47 psi and one at 50 psi. After adjusting to 33 psi I noted a marked improvement to the cabin noise.
I had no idea that the it is standard practice for the tire pressure to be increased for shipping from the factory to the dealer. Cheers

Only if you have a charger that will take advantage of it. Most 120 volt chargers will only draw 12 amps. I have one that has a 16 amp setting, but it still only draws 12 amps.

If it would draw 16 amps, the vehicle world charge in about 9 hours rather than 12.

Can’t win. I have 40 amps in my Marin County garage where PG&E charges $0.45/kWh and 20 amp 120 volts in my second home’s garage in Mt Shasta where Pacific Power charges $0.15/kWh. I guess Pacific Power has access to hydro and isn’t paying billions in law suits.

The Tesla mobile connector will pull 16 amps if you have the optional NEMA 5-20 cord Of course, you'll need an adapter to plug it into the RX450. That's probably the most reliable way to get 16 amps.

I am doing exactly that. After I sold my Model 3, I kept the cable and I bought an adapter from Amazon. It takes less than 3 hours to charge to 36 miles.

Initially, when I purchased my RX450h+, I tried the 120v charger but, was not loving the 12 hour charging time. I found that the Toyota/Lexus charger supplied with the vehicle is rated for 240v, as it is used in other countries but, with a different plug. I bought an adapter and plugged the unit into a 240v 30 Amp dryer outlet in my garage. I have a gas dryer so, this worked out fine but, if you have an electric dryer, there are splitters available. You just don't want to use both 240v devices on that circuit at the same time. Your car will then charge in about 5 1/2 hours at 240v. Finally, I ended up buying an Emporia EVSE after installing a 50 Amp 240v circuit on the far wall of my garage. It cut the charging time down to 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

So it is possible to charge 16 amps at 120 volt and why would 25% more power reduce the charging time so dramatically? Unless, it’s 16 amps at 220.

The Tesla charger plug in the NEMA outlet provides up to 32A at 240V.

So 12 amps@120 volts = 1,440 watt/hour is the max charge rate. 12.5 hours to charge from zero. Probably around 90% efficiency.

On another note. Anybody played around with Apple CarPlay and an app like OBD Fusion? Be nice to know what OBD data can be looked at on the 14 inch screen.
