2024 NX350h 300Km mileage, average gas consumption 7.4l/100KM,
is it normal? Is it supposed to be 5L /100KM?
Also, I noticed when I press brake pedal at a low speed about 10km/h. it triggers a loud motor noise that seems trying to back charge the battery. It is so loud that I think the new car is having a problem. When I release the brake, the noise is gone. Then I brake again, the motor makes a loud noise again.

I agree with the above. When I picked up my car in May, for the first few month, the lifetime average was 8.2L/100km.
I'm about 6 months in and my average is now 6.7L/100KM. I have noticed the colder weather (compared to Summer/Fall) has made my mileage worst than before. I'm also on winter tires too that doesn't help.
My driving is also 80% highway so it's pretty normal my average mileage is higher than typical.

Brrr . . .
(Pardon my primitive MPG units)
Cold weather lowers my MPG quite a bit. In the summer, even with AC usage, I was easily getting low to mid-40s MPG. With cold weather, I'm getting mid to high-30s MPG. 2022 NX350h, 18" wheels.

I also currently have about 32000km on the odometer but I do a lot of leisure driving. I have done lots of interesting road trips in this car and loved every single one of them. Also while I mostly work remotely, my trip into the office is a 150km round trip.
You don't start to see the best of this car and it's incredible mpg until you hit the 10000km mark on the odometer.

I'm usually around 6L/100km in the summer and a bit higher in the winter.. like 7-8L/100km. Always have the climate control set to auto and around 18-22 celsius depending on how sunny / cold it is.

On a side note, shame Toyota is choosing to discontinue the Venza. I almost got one before I chose the NX. I guess the "badge" won me over. Well, Toyota will squeeze more cash out of buyers with the Crown Signia, which is essentially the same car as the Venza but probably costing a fair bit more.

Brrrr!
Update: MPG even lower during this Arctic blast. Sub-freezing overnight temps and I'm getting low 30s MPG. How are you Canadians faring?

I'm with blueless. My mileage can be as high as 49mpg in the summer on 2 lane rds. But this last artic blast got me down to 26 mpg on 2 lane!

It will get better
In my first few months of ownership, I hovered around the same consumption too.
As the temperatures got warmer, and miles got added on the car, my consumption got better.
Today, I'm at >36000kms, and even during the recent article blast,I still had drives where I was 5.9-6.4L/100km.
You just need to wait till you're engine gets broken in fully. Usually, that's not before 10-12k kms on your odometer.
