My case is , the car won't downshift to 1st gear until you make a full stop so when you creeping to a stop sign even the speed is 1 mile per hour but the gear is still 2nd. it will be shaking.

@roadanywhere If your issue is repeatable enough, bring to a dealer. Hopefully they will experience the issue.
If they do, you can 'get in line' for a replacement (improved) transmission.

right now its ok, since I will give a little bit gas to prevent shaking at 2nd gear but I will keep watching if something getting bad.

Hi, so a few days ago I stepped on the pedal from a stop and the car did not respond for a split second then it started moving normally again. Today, I was accelerating from a stop and the car jolted.
Did anyone run into the same issue on the RX500h? I’ll just bring it in for service just to be sure. Do you guys think it’s the transmission? Car has just over 12000 miles to it

Some others have reported the same issues on RXs built before May/June 2023. Search JUDDERING.
If Lexus verifies the issue they will order a new transmission and update software to match the new trans. Be prepared to wait tho'.

Hi guys, I have 2023 RX500h with 22k km already (I know). The issue I'm about to describe has happened about 6-7 times now, last time was today. It's hard to describe so please bear with me.
While driving, as you roll to a stop say at a stop signs the car starts jerking back and forth. It's almost disturbing. The only way I can describe it is that it feels like it's "stuck" trying to switch between gas and electric motor. Car doesn't move forward and the only way to disengage this situation is to put the car in park.
The jerks back and forth are so severe and heavy that it almost feels like it's gonna break the gearbox...
After the first 3 times I took it to the dealer and of course they couldn't replicate the issue.
Has anyone experienced this? Or knows what I'm referring to?
Thanks 🙏

yes my RX500 jolted hard when accelerated from a stop. Not as bad as yours though, and it happened once. Felt like the car just stalled for a second. I’m losing confidence in Lexus though as this is my third Lexus with some sort of a problem

Sounds like the classic “juddering”. Other have the same problem.

Well good to know I'm not alone (I guess). Thanks guys!
Oye, new transmission doesn't sound too good... I knew I should've waited a year for them to sort out the issues... But when I saw the car in person I was instantly in love.
At least now I can go to the dealer and say I'm not alone and maybe reference this forum.
Thanks again 🙏

Hey @Louis500h, I've been facing the same issue, and it seems that there is a tech tip (L-TT-0328-23) in the USA for this (see attachment below). It might be worth asking your dealer to see if they know similar TT or TSB since you are based in Canada like me.

@Hrtbrkr00 How would you present this tech tip L-TT-0328-23 if the dealer can't replicate the transmission problem?
